past
Education
I received my Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Texas at Dallas. Electives in math, computer science, literature, and philosophy. Research in nanotechnology.
I feel very fortunate to have received a liberal education and I believe everyone deserves the right to have one of their own, free of charge. I am profoundly grateful to each of my instructors who showed me why their chosen field of study could be worth dedicating a lifetime to.
Other projects
Not everything I've done or made is easily demoable in its current state. Ask me about my homelab, scraping my own grocery data, simulating tabletop dice rolls, or trying to implement Italian grammar in code.
I also have the honor of helping my friend Alex make a website for her music project, skirts. Expect a launch later this year ahead the new album and tour, but you can see some earlier designs here (figma) and here (site).
Courses I've done:
- The Odin Project (full stack javascript, html, css)
- Full Stack Open (MERN stack, Typescript, authentication, testing)
- Code With Andrea (Dart/Flutter, frontend architecture and testing)
- Corso di programmazione in C (masterclass in C)
"Build-your-owns" I recommend:
- kilo text editor (build a text editor in C - and use it to write itself!)
- ugit (you know the porcelain, now try the plumbing)
- web browser (you're telling me someone actually reads this stuff?)
- 8-bit computer (just like Nintendo used to make)
bio
I was born and raised in Texas, but after moving to Seattle I fell fast in love with the Pacific Northwest.
If I'm not reading or coding, you might see me at the beach, trying to spot orcas in Puget Sound.
